The Athenaeum Hotel is a seasonal property in operation from late April through October each year. Conferences and weddings are available during the off-season months of April, May, early June, September, and October. From late June until the end the August the Athenaeum Hotel and Chautauqua Institution are hosting 100,000 visitors for a unique mix of programming.
The Hall of Philosophy--one of our most popular sites for wedding ceremonies--is a turn of the century structure reminiscent of an early Greek Temple with its stone-like columns, open walls, and heavy timber roof all nestled within a grove of hardwoods giving a truly romantic feeling to any wedding ceremony. Enjoy your reception at the Athenaeum Hotel where you and your guests will be enchanted by the historic ambiance and 200-foot porch that provides scenic views of Chautauqua Lake.
