Our pricing guide is based on a 150 person Saturday reception at the Athenaeum. We do not book weddings during the 9-week Chautauqua season, which is June 23 – Aug 26 of 2012.

Built in 1906, the Hall of Philosophy is reminiscent of an early Greek Temple with its stone-like columns, open walls and heavy timber roof all nestled within a grove of hardwoods giving a truly romantic feeling to any wedding ceremony.
A popular site for wedding ceremonies, the Hall of Philosophy is available for rental off-season and is limited to the months of May, early June, September and October. We schedule up to 3 ceremonies each day at the Hall of Philosophy, and the 2-5 p.m. time block is usually reserved for ceremonies with Athenaeum Hotel receptions.
Rentals for wedding ceremonies at the Hall of Philosophy are limited to three hours per rental. The Hall of Christ is usually held upon the reservation of the Hall of Philosophy as a back up in case of inclement weather. Your coordinator will inform you if it is unavailable for this.
